How to properly preserve squid?

Squid is a perishable food and improper preservation can lead to rapid growth in the number of microorganisms and trigger adverse reactions such as procurement allergies and food poisoning. Therefore, squid should be handled and preserved as early as possible when purchased for home use. Generally, squid need to be cleared of internal organs, eyes and bones, cleaned, then placed in an airtight container and frozen in the refrigerator as soon as possible.
